Playing Safely with in2bet

Safe betting is and always will be our top priority at in2bet.

We understand that, in the excitement, action, and thrill of the moment, it’s easy to get carried away and bet more than intended. Or, over time, you may find yourself betting more frequently than you’d prefer.

Sports betting should be about fun, entertainment, enjoying the action, and feeling the excitement. We’re here to bring energy and enthusiasm—not stress and anxiety; we all have enough of that already.

As individuals, we are each responsible for the choices we make. It’s up to you how much and how often you choose to bet. What we guarantee at in2bet is that we’ll do everything we can to ensure you always have control and never face issues with your betting.

That’s why we recommend using the safe betting tools you’ll find in the menu on the left side of the page, along with some additional tips:

  • Deposit Limits
  • Betting Limits
  • Loss Limits
  • Take a Break
  • Access Limits
  • Self-Exclusion
  • Website Blocking & Internet Safety

These are a series of effective, easy-to-use tools to help you monitor the time and money you spend on in2bet. Think of them as a "sensible friend" who’s always there to give you sound advice when you need it.

We promote a socially responsible approach to sports betting. Our philosophy is that the game is what truly matters. Losing is part of sports and a fact of life. Michael Owen knows this well, and so do we. We believe that the way you play and the enjoyment you get from it is more important than the final result—whether you win or lose.

Remember: we’re by your side and always here to help if there’s anything you’d like to discuss.

Our Safer Gambling Policy

What Matters is the Game

As fans who enjoy betting, we love what we do here at in2bet, and we hope you’ll love our platform and place bets with us. Sports betting here is crafted by fans, for fans.

Betting should be enjoyed as a form of entertainment—like working out, going out with friends, reading, or watching a movie. When betting stops being perceived this way and becomes solely about the outcome, it's time to seriously consider if you should continue playing. We all prefer to win, of course, but losing isn’t the end of the world, nor should it ever make us feel like it is.

Our commitment to providing a safe, fair, and responsible environment for our players to bet in is absolute and non-negotiable. Our responsibility to our players goes beyond simply meeting regulatory requirements. This is something we’re proud of and believe sets us apart from other sports betting websites.

Our digital environment, services, and products are designed to maximize quality, consistency, integrity, transparency, and reliability on in2bet. Our dedicated team members receive regular training to quickly identify any signs of potential betting issues and to offer the appropriate assistance.

If you haven’t already, we encourage you to set limits on your account—financial, time-based, or both. This is the smartest and most effective way to maintain full control over your betting.

And remember: all it takes is a phone call or an email to get whatever help you need, whenever you need it. Anything you share with in2bet or any other support organization will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and care.

Thank you for trusting in2bet.

Set Your Limits

Financial and Time Management Tools

The best and most effective way to ensure you’re in control of your betting is by setting limits. Limits can apply to both your time and money. While we’ll never dictate what you should do, we believe that setting personal limits is one of the first things you should do upon joining in2bet.

Financial Limits

  • Deposit Limits: Create a budget and stick to it by setting a maximum amount you can deposit into your in2bet account daily, weekly, or monthly (or all three).
  • Betting Limits: Set a cap on the number of bets you can place within a specific time frame.
  • Loss Limits: Decide on the amount you are willing to lose over a set period.

Time Limits

  • Take a Break: Temporarily pause access to your account for a specified period, ranging from 24 hours to 6 months.
  • Access Limits: Select specific times of the day or days of the week during which you would like to restrict access to your account (e.g., 1 PM–6 PM daily or only on Mondays and Fridays).
  • Self-Exclusion: If you feel that gambling has become a problem or if you’re sure you don’t want to bet again, you can permanently self-exclude from in2bet. If self-exclusion seems right for you, consider excluding yourself from any other sites where you may place bets.

If you haven’t already set your limits, visit https://in2bet.com.cy/metra and click on Self-Protection > Settings.

Any adjustments that increase your potential risk (e.g., raising deposit, betting, or loss limits) take seven days to activate. Any changes that reduce risk and enhance your protection (e.g., lowering deposit, betting, or loss limits) take effect immediately.

Take a Break

Is It Time for a Break?

If you feel the need to step back from betting with in2bet, you can easily activate a time-out on your account.

Take a Break: The "take a break" tool allows you to temporarily suspend your account for a duration of 24 hours to 6 months. During this time-out, you will not be able to log into your account. Once the time-out period is over, your account will automatically reopen, and you can resume betting as before.

Access Limits: If there are specific times or days when you would like to prevent yourself from betting, you can do that too. For example, you may want to stay focused during work hours or avoid distractions on certain days.

Both the break time and access limits take effect immediately. Any changes that increase your potential risk will require a 7-day waiting period to activate. Conversely, changes that reduce your risks and enhance your protection will take effect immediately.

Don't Chase Losses

Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Lose

Anyone who bets with some frequency knows that there will be times when they lose. In fact, the odds suggest that over time, people lose more than they win. Some view sports betting as just another form of entertainment that costs money—similar to dining out, buying new clothes, or going on vacation. If you’re uncomfortable with the idea of occasionally losing money, then sports betting may not be for you.

This is especially true if you ever feel tempted to chase your losses. That is, wanting to place more bets and wager more money to recoup what you’ve lost. As tempting as it may seem, chasing losses is never a good idea. At in2bet, we’re fans ourselves, so we understand this temptation. We’ve been there too. However, chasing losses is not the smartest thing you can do.

It's important to remember that losing is a part of the game. Enjoy the experience for what it is, and keep your betting within your means. Always prioritize fun over the outcome.

Self-Exclusion

Long-Term Self-Exclusion and Account Closure

In addition to closing and deleting your account, self-exclusion is the highest level of protection we offer our players. You can choose to self-exclude for any period longer than 6 months or even permanently if you believe that’s the right decision for you.

This decision hinges on your personal priorities, available income, and how comfortable you feel with your gambling habits. However, our advice is that if the thought of self-exclusion has crossed your mind as a possible solution, then go ahead and take that step.

There are two types of self-exclusion you can choose from:

  • 6-12 Months:

After this period, your account will automatically reopen, similar to the timeout feature.

  • More than 12 Months:

Once this period ends, your account will NOT automatically reopen. If you wish to continue playing after your self-exclusion period, you must contact in2bet. Your account will then reopen after 7 days.

We recommend that during your self-exclusion period, you uninstall the in2bet app from your phone. We will ensure that you do not receive promotional messages during this time. Additionally, you cannot open a new account using different details during your self-exclusion period.

If you choose to self-exclude from in2bet, we also suggest considering self-exclusion from all other betting sites you are registered with.

Account Closure

If you wish to permanently close your account, please call our Player Support Department at +357 22-053939, email us at support@in2bet.com.cy, or use our Live Chat service.

National Self-Exclusion Platform

The National Self-exclusion platform facilitates players to control their betting and voluntarily exclude themselves from all online bookmakers who are licensed in the Republic of Cyprus free of charge.

What is National Self-exclusion?

The National Self-exclusion is a process that allows players to control their access to online betting websites. The player acknowledges that their betting activity has brought gambling related harm on their life, hence, they may use the self-exclusion tool for a more effective control of their betting activity. A player may be self-excluded from all National Betting Authority licenced betting websites either temporarily or for an indefinite period. During the self-exclusion period, the player has access to their current account only for the purpose of withdrawing their deposits and cannot create a new account in a licenced bookmaker’s website.

Type of self-exclusion

Short term exclusion

  • 24 hours
  • 72 hours
  • 1 week
  • 1 month
  • Other option until 3 months

Long term exclusion

  • 6 months
  • 12 months
  • 5 years
  • Indefinite
  • Other option more than three months

What is the difference between self-exclusion through the National Self-Exclusion Platform and the self-exclusion offered by in2bet?

Through the National Self-Exclusion Platform, the player chooses to be excluded from all gambling service websites licensed by the National Betting Authority. On the contrary, the self-exclusion offered by in2bet manages only the access to the player's account within in2bet itself.

Self-AssessmentParental Controls

Under 18 Years Old

It is illegal for anyone under 18 years old to gamble. At in2bet, protecting minors is a fundamental part of our commitment to safe gaming for everyone.

For this reason, we have implemented strict age verification measures for players at registration. Any account found to belong to someone under 18 will be closed immediately and without notice. Deposits will be refunded, and all bets, including winning bets, will be canceled. The same applies to any account created with inaccurate or false personal information.

Shared Devices

If you gamble using any device accessible to minors under 18, we strongly encourage you to take appropriate measures to prevent their access to your in2bet account.

Here are several ways to do this:

  • Install filtering software and set up parental controls on all your devices, blocking access to gambling sites for anyone under 18.
  • Do not leave your devices unattended while logged in to in2bet.
  • Disable password-saving options, and avoid writing down information related to your account.
  • If minors have access to your devices, create a separate profile for them to ensure safe browsing on the internet.
  • Never share your bank account or card details with minors.

Two well-known websites providing parental control, device management, and content filtering are www.netnanny.com and www.cybersitter.com. Of course, there are others if you'd like to do your own research.

Blocking and Protection

Blocking and Protecting Websites on Your Device

Whether for yourself or for someone else (especially individuals under 18), it may be beneficial to consider installing software that restricts access to certain websites, including gambling sites.

Here are some available options:

  • Net Nanny - Blocking software for Windows, iOS, and Android.
  • GamBlock - Software specifically designed to block gambling websites, available for Windows and Android.
  • Betfilter - Software for blocking gambling websites, available for Windows, Mac, and iOS.
  • Gamban - Blocks access to gambling websites and apps globally.
  • Google - Free extensions that allow blocking of gambling ads.

There are also other websites that offer similar protection as listed above. We recommend exploring these options and deciding which one is the best fit for you.
